Review Embattled Minds by J.M Madden (Book 2 Lost and Found Series)

Description
Zeke Foster has little to no experience with women over the past couple of years, after being injured in Afghanistan. Brutally scarred, he has no expectation that he’ll ever find a woman capable of accepting him the way he is. But he can’t help but be enamored of Ember, the waitress of a local watering hole.

Ember Norton’s life has turned into one devastating catastrophe after another. When the scarred soldier with the kind eyes brings some security to her life, she’s afraid to trust her luck. She’s been self-sufficient for a long time. But his wounded soul calls to her and she finds herself falling for him.
In spite of the secrets he continues to keep.

My Review

This is the Book 2 in the Lost and Found Series and I just love this series. I think that J.M Madden does a great job of profiling the issues that Wounded Warriors have and incorporating it in to a wonderfully sexy book. She handles PTSD and TBI's with a reality that is honest and gives an insight to what Disabled/Wounded Warriors actually deal with.

Zeke has a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), stutters and has a hard time expressing what he is trying to say. Also he is scarred physically from when he was injured overseas. He finds himself falling for Ember.

Ember is a great heroine for Zeke... She is a single mom who brings out the best in him even when she hides facts about those she loves. She has her own set of issues in the form of her Father who is a Vietnam Veteran and has PTSD.

When her safety and that of her son becomes an issue, Zeke and all our favorite guys from the LNF (Lost and Found) Agency step up and ensure she is kept safe.

I hate spoiling books and the LNF series is one that I could easily spoil for everyone... The stories continues and I cannot wait for Chad's Story Embattled Home.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 Genie Lamps

You can purchase this book from Amazon Barnes & Noble

* As a Wife of a Disabled Marine Veteran I personally love these books and the care and thought that J.M Madden puts into them.
