ARC Review Saving Private Blue by Nicole Garcia

Savannah St. Claire grew up in a town where she was constantly bullied. Her only friends were brothers Billy and Travis Blue. The three of them were inseparable.
Billy Blue joined the Army when he turned eighteen and was deployed to Afghanistan soon after. Four years later Billy returns home and things are forever changed for this man who heroically fought for his country. He not only has to overcome his physical limitations, but he must confront his feelings for Savannah. With his confidence broken he comes to the realization that there could be no way she would ever love him enough to look past the scars he possesses both inside and out.
What happens when two brothers love the same woman? Can broken hearts be mended? Will true love prevail above all else?

My Review

This is a quick read... Savannah is left heartbroken when Billy joins the Army. Four years pass and Billy returns injured and still loving Savannah. Savannah has a lot of bitter feelings towards Billy even though she loves him,, Travis is Billy's brother and has been there for Savannah when Billy wasn't.

There is tension between the brothers and it comes to a boil when Billy loses his temper. Billy blames himself for many things and knows that pushing Savannah way all those years ago might have cost him the best thing in his life.

This story has many different aspects that run together pretty seamlessly... the characters are believable and full of emotion. Overall this is a quick read that I would recommend to others.

I rate this book 4 out of 5 genie lamps
