Blog Tour- Last Cowboy in Texas by Katie Lane

A DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS NOVELNO SAD SONGS HERE, DARLIN'

Country music princess Starlet Brubaker has a sweet tooth for moon pies and cowboys: both are yummy-and you can never have just one. Now Beckett Cates may not be a cowboy, but he certainly has the heart, soul-and body-to whet her appetite. He's a sexy ex-Marine with a touch hotter than the scorching Texas sun and arms strong enough to catch her when she lands into trouble.

Playing bodyguard to America's sweetheart isn't easy for Beckett. But falling for her sure is. Unfortunately, Starlet has a reputation for keeping a guy or two wrapped around her finger and Beckett refuses to be anybody's backup. So now it's up to Starlet to prove that she's put her cowboy-crazy days behind her. Otherwise, she'll be singing solo instead of living in harmony with the man who's loved her even before her fame and fortune.

My Review

I have to say that I enjoyed this story. Beckett and Star are full of sparks and the banter between the two of them is great. Star the poor thing is all sorts of messed up... She has changed everything about herself and tries to take care of the family that never took care of her.

Beckett thinks everything about Star is fake and when he starts to see the real her sparks fly but Star isn't as innocent as she seems. He also is there to pick up the pieces and finds out that she is so busy pleasing everyone else she forgets to take care of her.

This book throws some wild things at you and for those who haven't read any of Katie Lane's books I suggest you read them because you might be a little confused if you pick this up and just read. It doesn't have to be read with the series but I would suggest it.

Over all this a good read. There is drama, kidnapping, sexy cowboys, redemption and a major happy ever after.

I rate this book a 4 out 5 Genie Lamps
I received an ARC of this book in return for my honest review.
