Book Blast My Lady, My Lord by Katharine Ashe

A historical romance… with a very special twist.

Book Description

The Bluestocking
Lady Corinna Mowbray has three passions: excellent books, intelligent conversation, and disdaining the libertine Earl of Chance.

The Rake
Lord Ian Chance has three pleasures: beautiful women, fast horses, and tormenting high-and-mighty Corinna Mowbray.

Neighbors for years, they’ve been at each other’s throats since they can remember. But when a twist of fate forces them to trade lives, how long will it be before they discover they cannot live without each other?

Excerpt from My Lady, My Lord

“Pelley is in there.”
Corinna halted her flight and looked over her shoulder. Ian stood in partial shadow, his long legs and handsome face slanted with torchlight.
“He is?” she said.
He folded his arms over his chest. “I thought that might stop you.”
“Are you telling the truth?”
“I never lie.”
She bit her lower lip. “I didn’t consider the possibility of his presence here.”
He frowned, his gaze slipping along her bodice to her hips. “Apparently.”
“Don’t look at me with such disapproval,” she snapped. “Your doxies wear much less than this.” How on earth had she gotten herself into this? What had she been thinking? He was right: this was not she. She was trying to be something she wasn’t and making a fool of herself. And now Lord Pelley would see her in this scandalous gown, and any last hope she might still have of convincing him she was the serious woman to whom he should sell his publishing company would be lost.
“I don’t disapprove,” Ian said. “Quite the contrary. I’m merely curious as to your motive.”
The words that were so easy to practice alone in her dressing chamber now clogged her throat. His eyes sharpened. For a moment that seemed like forever, neither of them spoke.
He strode forward and grasped her arm. Raindrops pattered on the shoulders of his dark coat and her lashes.
“I’m taking you home.”
She resisted. “What if I don’t want you to?”
“Oh,” he said in a low rumble. “You want me to.”

NC Romance Author Signing

Left to Right... Katharine Ashe, Nancy Lee Badger, Lisa Carter, Claudia Dain, Barbara Davis, Sabrina Jeffries, Erin Knightley, Deb Marlowe, Heather McCollum, and Beth Williamson. *Ava Stone/Lyndia Dare is not in picture.

Last Night I went to a signing/panel which was full of wonderful Romance Authors. This was the second event I have gone to at the Cary, NC Barnes & Noble. I had a wonderful time hearing from these authors everything from how they write, what happens when they forget details about their characters and have to fix and/or rework their writing, how long it takes for them to write a book, and if they are a Plotter, Pantser or Plantser. I actually took notes so I want to let you know a little about these wonderful authors and the books they write and their information.

Katharine Ashe writes Historical Romances set in the early 19th century. Her current series is the Prince Catcher's Series and the first book in the series is I Married the Duke: The Prince Catchers.
She is also a History Professor at Duke University. I found that extremely interesting as I love history. I had the pleasure of chatting with her for a little bit. Here is the link to her Facebook Author Page.

Nancy Lee Badger is originally from New York but like all the authors who were at the signing call North Carolina home. She writes Time-Travel Romances that date from 1593 to present. Her Series is called Highland Games though Time and the first book in the series is My Honorable Highlander (Bk#1-Highland Games Through Time).

You can buy most her ebooks for $0.99 and besides this series she also writes about Dragons. Here is the link to her Facebook Author Page.

Lisa Carter is a Raleigh Native and she writes Romantic Suspense.Carolina Reckoning is one of her books.

She recently went to Hawaii (lucky) in order to do research for her book Aloha Rose.

Claudia Dain writes Regency Romance that center around courtesans and them finding the man that is for them, even if it that man is not the one they truly want. Her book Much Ado About Dutton (More Courtesan Chronicles) is about that very same thing.

Check out her Author Website.

Ava Stone/Lydia Dare is of course one of those authors who has two names... Meaning she is actually two people (just kidding) she writes under two names. She writes Regency Romances as Ava Stone  and Paranormal Romances as Lydia Dare. The first book in her Scandalous Series is A Scandalous Wife (Scandalous Series, BOOK 1).

Check out both her Ava Stone Website and Lydia Dare Website to learn more about her books.

Barbara Davis writes a mash up of genres she writes Historical Contemporary Romances. And her first book is The Secrets She Carried.

You can find Barbara on her Author Facebook Page.

Sabrina Jeffries writes Regency Romance and her new series The Dukes Men is centered around a Missing Person's Agency. The first book in that series is What the Duke Desires (Duke's Men).

You can check out her Author Website and even sign up for newsletter which will be mailed to your house letting you know when she has a new release.  I enjoy her newsletter.

Erin Knightley writes Regency Historical which are sweet and fun. She writes the Sealed with a Kiss Series which currently has four books in it. The first book in the series is More Than a Stranger: A Sealed With a Kiss Novel.

Check out her Author Facebook or her Author Website .

Deb Marlowe writes Regency Romance and admits that she was at one time a Plantster but is now more of a Plotter. She currently has a short story which is Free and can be purchased from Amazon A Slight Miscalculation: A Half Moon House Short Story (Half Moon House Series). Her books are pretty much stand alone.

Nothing says Regency romance like spinsters and emotionally detached heroes.Unbuttoning Miss Hardwick. You can find Deb on her Author Facebook Page .

Heather McCollum writes both Historical and Paranormal Romances and YA... Her new Historical Romance is Tangled Hearts (Highland Hearts) book 2 in the Highland Hearts series. She says it is a cross between the Tutors and Pirates of the Caribbean .

Besides being an author she is also an Ovarian Cancer Survivor, you can find her on her Author Facebook Page.

Beth Williamson/Emma Lang is another one of those authors with two names. She writes Western Romances. She has a new book coming out Tuesday which features the wonderful Harvey Stables on the cover.  Circle Eight: Nicholas (Volume 5) It is the Fifth book in her Circle 8 series with her writing as Emma Lang.

Check her out on her Author Website .

I hope you might of found a new book or author to read from this post. I had a wonderful time at the signing. The next big thing I have of course is The Novel Experience Event in Atlanta, GA next moth. Until then.
