Giving Thanks in November Day 1

So I figured I would do a month of Thankfulness for November.  On this 1st Day of November I am thankful for My youngest Son JonJon.
My husband I lost 4 babies between him and my oldest, there is a 6 year age difference. We were told that having anymore children was not advised.

I remember the day I found out I was pregnant with him.  We were over at My cousin's house for Easter and I was drinking a beer, talking to her about how I just wasn't feeling right and my boob really hurt. She goes do you think you could be pregnant. I laughed and said no, that's crazy After the last miscarriage my doctor said no babies. She said "No like you can't have them or No you can't get pregnant."

I was thought about it and on the way home we stopped at a CVS and I bought a three pack of Pregnancy tests. Each one was positive and I was pregnant, Hubby and I were so happy but scared at the same time because after going to the doctors we were told I was high risk and had to limit pretty much everything I did especially after I started bleeding at 17 weeks. I was put on bed rest a couple times during my pregnancy and had my labor stopped multiple times.

God blessed our family with Jonathan Lloyd on December 14, 2009. He was born in less that 45 minutes at 6lbs4oz 20 inches long and has been a constant source of joy in our lives.

He is a high functioning autistic who is just so damn smart and does some pretty crazy things which makes us laugh. Even when he is having a bad day and has meltdowns he is worth all the pain and trouble I had while pregnant with him.

He was truly a gift from God which is why we named him Jonathan. And why I am thankful for my moppy curly haired blue eyed angel who gives so much joy to those he comes in contact with.

What are you thankful for???

  1. I love that. I, too, am thankful for a Jonathan. He was my brother. He passed away way too soon, but I wouldn't trade a single moment. Thanks for the smile.
